The pages are hand torn, smooth Magnani Velata middleweight, ivory colored 100% acid free printmaking paper and the book is bound with waxed dark grey linen thread in a coptic stitch (knotted, open-spine) that allows the book to lie flat when open.
The pages are a great weight for lots of writing or sketching and this journal has a sturdy stitching structure designed to stand up to plenty of use. Made from 100% acid-free archival materials.
